Things you may be wondering about Avian UAS
EXPERIENCE
Our team have over 10 years experience in their respective areas of expertise including formal qualifications in surveying and photography plus our team possess capabilities in building and operating remotely operated vehicles (RoVs). Across the team our backgrounds include aviation, surveying, engineering, operations, project management and software engineering.
SAFETY
We are a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved licence holder and operate under strict operational safety procedures and safe work methods. All our flights are planned according to a comprehensive risk assessment process and relevant approvals obtained prior to the commencement of any operation.
EQUIPMENT
We use state-of-the-art technologies including laser scanners, high-resolution cameras and UAVs equipped with parachutes an industry first here in Australia. Our laser scanners have a range of upto 120m and some UAVs in our fleet can fly for upto 45 mins in a single flight and capture sensitive data from a range of sensor technologies ie. thermal imaging, LiDAR.
INTEGRITY
Avian UAS holds national public and product liability insurance to $20 million cover and professional indemnity to $1 million. All our pilots are national police record checked, hold construction white cards (CWC) and rail industry worker cards (RIWC), are appropriately trained and licensed and operate with required site based inductions, SWMS, risk management and mandatory PPE.
Quality
Avian UAS is a member of associated industry bodies and operate in compliance with a strict code of conduct to deliver exceptional customer service, quality outputs and to ultimately ensure every client’s satisfaction.
CASA Approved
We operate under an extensive Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved Operations Manual, Risk Mangement Policy and a Health Safety and Environment Manual backed by approved company policies and procedures.
